Ephraim Ovitsh, MD, received his B.A. from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College,
graduating cum laude in 1986. He attended the New York Medical College, where he received his
M.D. degree in 1992. He completed his postgraduate residency training at The Saint Vincents
Hospital & Medical Center of New York. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Laproendoscopic
Surgeons Award in 1996.
Dr. Ovitsh served as the Assistant Residency Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynecology at Saint Vincents Hospital & Medical Center of New York until 2004. He was
awarded the Medical Student Education Award by New York Medical College, the Resident Teaching
Award by the Association of Professors Of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Teacher of the Year
Award at the Saint Vincents Hospital & Medical Center of New York. He has an academic
appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College.
Dr. Ovitsh is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics
and Gynecology since 1999.
